VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE ON SUNDAY, MAY 7 at 8:00 PM.  

Houston is hosting Comicpalooza, May 12 - 14, 2017. Comicpalooza is the best multi-format pop culture con in the southwest. There is literally something for everyone – from the smallest niche to the broadest of fandoms. There are over 3000 hours of programming, gaming and panels spread over 1.2 million square feet of space. In addition to the celebrity photos and autograph opportunities, the program will feature tracks focusing on gaming, film, artist alley featuring Comic professionals, Japanese Pop Culture, Cosplay, Literature, Supernatural, Maker’s Faire, Entertainment and more.  

Are you interested in being a volunteer for Comicpalooza? As one of our volunteers, you will have the chance to see how a convention works from the inside, meet cool people, make new friends, and most notably, know that you have contributed to the entertainment and knowledge of our attendees!

Key volunteer information you should know:

REQUIREMENTS: ALL VOLUNTEER POSITIONS ARE UNPAID POSITIONS. 

1. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age (by May 7, 2017) in order to participate. 
2. Volunteers are REQUIRED to undergo a background check and must sign a participation waiver upon the first shift.  (PLEASE FILL OUT YOUR BACKGROUND CHECK WITH VERIFIED VOLUNTEERS.  YOU ARE REDIRECTED AFTER YOU REGISTER.  NO NOT SKIP THIS STEP.)
3. Each volunteer must sign up for two shifts in order to be considered for the volunteer position.

UNIFORM: All volunteers will receive a volunteer shirt. This must be worn at all times while working. Please pair with jeans, khaki, or black pants and sneakers (sandals are not allowed.)  Cosplay is not allowed during your shift.

INCENTIVE: Volunteers will receive a special Comicpalooza bag upon their first shift.  (limited one bag per person)

PARKING: Volunteer parking will be available for volunteers. The precise location of the volunteer parking lot will be communicated at a later date.

HOTELS: Hotels are not provided for volunteers. 

Please Note: DO NOT sign up for a shift that occurs at the same time as the event you wish to participate in as a fan.  Please select another shift/position that will not interfere with the activities you wish to participate in.  Each position is essential for the success of this event.  We will ask volunteers to leave Comicpalooza if they are unfit to serve as a volunteer.
